if they r not new tires i would suspect wheel bearing. as they go bad they get loud like u r stuck in a wind tunnel. u will eventually get a vibration. pull up next to a wall like a drive thru, bank or car wash with the windows down and if its a bearing u will hear the loud hum.

I had same problem (2001 coupe V6), just that humming noise started at 40+mph. And it got louder at faster speeds.

I was able to determine the side (left or right) by going at around 40mph and driving on slight curves (such as exit ramps).
When I was turning slight left (more weight on right side of the wheels), the noise went away.
On the other hand, when I would turn slight right (more weight on the left side), the noise got louder.
Therefore, one of the left wheel bearings was bad.
I wasn't sure if it was front or the rear bearings...
Ended up taking to a shop, and they replaced the left rear wheel bearings.

Hope this can help with your diagnosis.

i was running into the exact same problem with my 2000 Accord EX coupe. I just spent 250 on a new exhaust to find the humming sound still there. Any time I top 20 mph the humm starts but when i go around a right hand turn it stops. I'm now thinking it is a wheel bearing.

the life expectancy on stock wheel bearings is 80K. You're right at the replacement interval.

either that or the annoying sound is "T-Pain".
