Default 02 EX V6 - Seatbelt button?

Hi-

I'm new to the forum, although I've owned several Accords in the past. My latest, an '02 EXV6 Coupe in silver.

My question is about finding one of those seatbelt buckle stop buttons for my seatbelts. My '05 Sedan has them, but not my coupe. If you don't know what I mean, when you get in your car and reach for the seatbelt, is the buckle at about shoulder height, held up by a plastic button on the belt? Or is your buckle on the floor, requiring you to reach between the seat and the door to retrieve it?

Every car I have owned has had a little button or raised stitching, to catch the buckle before it slides down to the floor - can I retrofit one of these onto my '02?

Thanks.

Andy

Should have one. My '98 has that. If it's missing out of the belt, you may be able to take advantage of Honda's 'lifetime' warranty on seatbelts.

Interesting. I'll give my Honda dealer a call and see what they say!

It's supposed to be there.

I called the Honda dealer. Turns out the buttons are a part. $3.50 each, and I wont have to play "find the seatbelt buckle" anymore! Cool! Thanks for the help!

had the same problem on my 01 accord. took it to the dealer and they said it's covered under under life time warrantee. It was fixed for free.

I guess I should have pressed them to fix it under warrantee. Oh well, they did install it for free.
