Default 94 Accord questions

I just bought a used 94 Accord EX yesterday and have couple of issues with it.

1) The steering wheel is not centered. It is positioned slightly toward the right. But it doesn't pull to the right or left when I drive, it is just located slightly to the right.

2) The light where the shiftgate is out. Doesn't anyone know what type of bulb it uses and how to replace the bulb?

3) I was given 3 keys, 2 that opens door ONLY, but the only one that turns on the ignition. But the key that turns on the ignition doesn't open doors. WTF?? Shouldn't they be a master key that opens everything? Can these keys be made? I am not sure if they have chip on it.

Thanks.

1. If it doesnt bother you then it probably isnt a big deal. You may need an alignment but it doesnt really matter if it isnt too bad.
2. You would need to take apart the center console and buy a bulb from the dealer. It wouldnt be too hard to fix given you know how to get to it.
3. Thats weird. I had two keys for mine, both worked with everything (trunk, door, ignition). You cant get them made unless you order them from the dealer.

Default Third Key

The third key may be for the glove compartment or the locking console in the rear seat. I have two keys as well but one was only a copy of the key that starts the engine and opens the doors. It wont unlock the rear console or the glove compartment.

ya its gonna be a bitch

Sounds like your ignition lock cylinder was replaced, and now it's not keyed the same. Probably a locksmith can make them all the same for you.

I don't know what year they started the Immobilizer. If it's an immobilizer issue, the key would turn in the cylinder, the starter would crank, but the engine would not start.

They originally came with 2 black keys that open EVERYTHING, and a third grey 'valet' key that will open doors, start engine, but won't open the trunk or glovebox.

Centering the steering wheel is part of the alignment job. There's a procedure for doing that, but if they're lazy it'll end up like that.

Well, it looks like the key that turns on the car is totally different from the other two keys appearance wise as well. The other two keys can open doors, glove compartments and trunk. So I think the ignition lock cyclinder was changed. I guess I will have to carry 2 keys from now.. not a big deal.
