Rotor replacement Question
This was org. posted by SonicGSR98. On how to replace your rotors.
"Next time you can use a couple of 12mm bolts and tighten them in the threaded holes that are on the rotors. The threaded holes are located on the rotor hat 90 deg from where the philips screws are. Evenly tighten them until the rotor slips off. It's a lot more quiet than bashing the rotor and it takes less energy. hth for next time"
Am looking to replace my rotors on my 97 Honda Acc. LX this weekend and am trying to find the best way of taking these rotors off. Has anyone tried using the 12mm bolts and tighten them in the threaded holes on the rotors? If anyone else has any advise on how to take these off please let me know thanks.

I guess I've always been lucky enough for the rotors to slide off once the screw is removed. That procedure does work if the rotors are being stubborn though.
Yeah, when I've swapped rotors on a variety of hondas, I've either unscrewed or drilled out the tiny screws holding the rotor in place. They aren't really necessary. After the screws are out, whack the rotor with a rubber mallet or, my favorite tool, your foot. It should pop right off...
