Default 94 LX Oil lamp

Hey, my oil light has been blinking every once in awhile. When it blinks, I stop, check the oil (it's got enough oil), and then get on my way, and it stops blinking. Any ideas?

No, not exclusively. Just seems to happen randomly.

How many miles on the engine? Does it only do it at idle?

159,xxx. It's done it at idle, and while driving. We change the oil every 3000 miles religiously.

I had a similar issue with my 93. Especially if I turned the engine off then started it back up right away. The light would blink, I would turn the engine off, then back on, and it would stop blinking. It was never low on oil when I checked. Wierd.

Yeah, i'm not too worried. It's a ~14 year old car, gotta give a little room for error. There's no CEL's or anything, temp is not hot, no wierd noises/vibrations/etc, so I was just curious if this is a common thing on these cars.

Oil pressure switch. Replace it, it costs about 25 bucks at autozone. I had the same problem with another car. If thats not it, then make sure your not loosing oil pressure. Next obvious steps, Change Oil, Oil Filter, make sure your not leaking oil, and then check and or replace your oil pump. Theres only so many things that could make an oil light come on. A. Loosing Pressure, B. Low Oil. Thats about it.
