Default Help! 1998 Honda Accord LX Not Starting

I am a college student, and those of you who are, or have been in college, know you don't drive much. well about 3 weeks ago, i went to go start my car and the battery was completely dead, not even the power locks worked, and the lights on the dash were extremely dim. I tried to get a jump, however that didnt work. i changed the battery today and it still wont start, however the power locks work, and the dash lights are normal again. when i turn the key, nothing happens, no clicks or anything. one weird thing that happens is that when i open the door, i hear a weird clicking noise, and the front blinkers will start flashing. when i close the door, after 30 seconds it stops. could this have something to to with my car not starting? thanks in advanced

Check the battery connections (maybe loose or corroded battery cables). What year is your car? I'm guessing bad distributor. Also, when was the last time any maintenance was done on your Accord?

If your in college you probably have car buffs on your floor. I know that there are a lot of different types of people in my dorms. From hairstylists to computer nerds. Find someone who may be able to look at it?

This sounds like little more than a dead battery to me. When you tried to jump it, did the engine turn over or did nothing happen? Charge the battery and see if that fixes the problem. The wierd noises are probably from any systems that are trying to run on an almost dead battery. The electrical systems in your car (or any car) will act wierd when they don't get enough power, so I wouldn't worry about that. Just get the battery charged, see if it at least turns over, then go from there.
