This sounds like little more than a dead battery to me. When you tried to jump it, did the engine turn over or did nothing happen? Charge the battery and see if that fixes the problem. The wierd noises are probably from any systems that are trying to run on an almost dead battery. The electrical systems in your car (or any car) will act wierd when they don't get enough power, so I wouldn't worry about that. Just get the battery charged, see if it at least turns over, then go from there.
