I assume by "engine oil pan" you mean the drain plug?

I believe it's either a 18 or 19mm socket that fits. Be sure to have the socket squarely over the bolt head. Remember "lefty Lucy" "righty tighty." Wear some Mechanix gloves or something to keep you from hurting your hands. If at first it doesn't bust loose, try tapping on the wrench just ever so slightly to help motivate it loose.

The plug shouldn't be in super tight. It's not a tough job to get done.

this seems like a jiffylube job or the likes thereof....the crush washer is very important and not to torque down on that bolt, it should just be pass tight/snug

Why is it that Jiffy Lube does so much wrong? :rant:This might be a little "off the subject" rant but geez, they SPECIALIZE in minor maintenance and repair yet they jack it up so badly. I've gone there three times in my life (the second two were free) and they've messed something up every time. Not something little either. One time they cranked my oil plug down so hard that it stripped the threads. Another time they filled my engine up with 5 quarts instead of 4 (not really a big deal, just had to drain a quart) and the last time I went there they locked my keys in my car! That was actually kind of cool too because they had to get a locksmith over while I sat and enjoyed free food from the vending machine for my trouble. Anyway......they're morons. I'll never take my car there again. Even for free. :madr:

You don't have to be a mechanic to work at Jiffy Lube...

In order to cut costs; the probably pick the least likely people to ask for raises... which coincedentally are the people who don't understand anything about life, let alone oil changes.

No offense to anyone who might work there... ?at least you have a job?
