Default 94 accord with 97 engine altenator problem...

yo...my altenator died...im new to this...i broke down the problem to it cuz the battery is good and the conenctiosn are also good. i was told by a mechanic if i disconnected the + terminal it would turn if the altenator
was not working..and the car turn off after i did...i need to replace it but i never replaced an altenator b4 ..
tips would be apreciated... and if anybody got any pics on which screws are for taking off and which are for adjusting the belt i would be greatfull 1

Its on top rite????Its an f motor not a j rite????You loosen the 2 bolts one on top one on the bottom 14mm and their is a little 10mm used to adjust the belts or a wing nut(connects to the bolt under the alt).Dis connect the battery so you don't shock the hell out of your self.Undo the connector(green?) and the 12mm nut holding on the alt charge cable.You also might have to get you ps pump out of the way.

Off the top of my head.I like to use () for some reason.Any one confirm??O hay total ya that too.

If he is barely into changing his alternator; his Haynes manual would really help a lot more... imo;

Sorry irrelevant, just felt like my .02 should be considered before he spends money on something he doesn't need.

hold on.....the manual is 14 bucks or the actual altenator cuz if so link me up, here in nyc its in the 80$ range
