Default turbo carburation.. help?

basically, i dont have a Vtec, so i want to pump my stock carburated 2.0. there is a rumour of a carburated turbo... is it possible? i must know... or, does anyone have any other ideas i could catch? maybe just beef it up american style with port, polish, shaved heads, bore the pistons, etc?

btw, it's an 86 Honda Accord LX 5spd manual.... any info is helpful (no i wont sell it and get anything else!)

Carburator works due to the vacuum in the intake. if you put turbo before
carburator it will not work.

A carburator has several vents, including the float-bowl.

In order for a carburator to work with a turbo, all these vents have to be located inside the pressurized system somehow. Some carburators have been made like this, but good luck...

One other way would be to build an airtight "box" around the entire carb, & use the turbo to pressurize that box. I think there was some Maserati Biturbo that was made like that.

Exactly.

And for another potential lead, I'm fairly sure the aircooled VW blokes have used draw-through carb'd turbo setups for quite a while.
