Warranty-Preserving Mods
I leased a 2004 Accord EX V6 6spd on which I got a really good deal, and I may buy it out at the end of the lease. I'm looking to make some mods to it, but want to preserve both the warranty and (as much as possible) the stock look (and hopefully the quiet ride). I really like the quietness of the ride and would be loathe to sacrifice it.
What are some mods I can make? are there any? I mean besides dropping in a K&N filter or something... (has anyone had noticeable results from even just that?). A friend of mine mentioned I could chip the car without voiding the warranty, but i'm not sure.
Help would be appreciated. Just looking for some options.

chipping the car would be the # 1 reason your warranty would be voided.
If you surely plan on buying the car out after your lease is up I would upgrade the suspension system and drop in a K&N filter.
Window Tint
Yeah, I'd just be doing stuff that's easy to switch back out for stock, i guess warranty's the main concern. Looks like i'm pretty limited in that area, tint and suspension, and the minor breathing mod.
Honda cannot void your warranty based on the addition of aftermarket parts. They have to prove that the aftermarket part directly caused the problem you would be potentially having. I though there was a law that was passed about this:dunno:
on the AEM website, it makes it very clear that this is true and they even have this document they link you to to help prove it to the dealership. you gotta look around but both times i bought something from AEM they always remind you of that.
As stated above from other people, mod only with parts that will be easy to change in the future. I know you got a good deal when you first leased it, but if you don't get a good deal to buy it at the end of the lease, you are s.o.l.
Thanks... I got a good deal because its a lease takeover, so the first year of payments were made already, they'd put like 500 down on it, plus they gave me 2000 cash to take it off their hands, plus they included almost brand new snow tires
.. plus i knew the buyout price before hand.
