94 accord ignition timing
What is the procedure for setting the ingition timing for a 1994 Accord.
I'm under the impression that there are 2 wires behing the glove box that need to be jumped together. What are thier colors?

Ya its you scs its a blue connector 2 wires.Jump them and set your base timing to the red marks on your crank pulley(which is like 14 15 and 16 degrees depending on what one you use).
The scs is also used to check engine codes you jump it and you can count the blinks to tell what code you have.

I know my timing is set to 14 right now because my SMOG check showed that hahahah. Would I see any small different if I moved timing to 15 or 16 deg? It's got intake, header, exhaust and high flow cat on a 94 EX
go advanced on a n/a motor retarded on a turbo motor. The n/a you can pick up a little power on the top end but only like 1 or 2 hp.On molest hondas you just set the base timing and the ecm will take it where it wants it, you have no control. You can set it on -5 degrees and the ecm will correct it to 14.
Their are ways around this but for a 1 to 2 hp gain its not worth it to modify the wiring and trow a check engine light + you are smog i would just leave it be.1 or 2 hp can easily be pick up elsewhere.
With a stand alone ecm you can adjust timing and air fuel ratio then you pick up some power.Molest honda ecms are set for good emissions and fuel mileage not power keep that in mind.
