sounds to me like your brother is doing something to draw attention to himself from thieves. He is doing something that is making him susceptible to his car being stolen. A thief is looking for easy money, they aren't going to take a car they know they might have trouble with.
Your brother might want to re-evaluate where he parks, where/how he drives, and how he modifies his cars. Also he might want to change the way he advertises his cars. The more people that know about your car, the more who know what you have, the more thieves that know. It's as simple at that.
as for the AV6MT goes-- you can get them for cheap because of the mass amounts of people flocking to buy the Si's..
if you haggle and get quotes online from dealers you should be able to get what you want for no more than 25k out the door in the north east.

My bro's neighborhood attracts full of thieves who steal and vandalize cars considering it is located in a pretty decent area. both time, his car was stolen when it was parked on the driveway. when it happened for second time, he had a viper alarm system which they bypassed somehow. again, the car was found stripped, missing rims, gauges, stereos, amp, etc. including many personal stuff. nope, he never tries to show off his car. i guess it was just an easy target. cops won't do anything considering many other cars were stolen in the same neighborhood, just adding another number to the statistics. my bro always wanted to get an s2k, but he's fed up with this situation and decided to go with something subtle, yet fun to drive.
just trying to help him out because the price from local dealer was much higher than we expected. i guess no one really here owns 6sp accord coupe? used ones(6sp) are pretty hard find, and i don't trust ebays. thx guys.
