bumper removal
i'm trying to remove the bumper to take off the headlights on my 97 accord but there are 2 plastic screws on the top of the bumper but right underneath the headlight so i can't get to it. it seems like the headlight would have to be off just to get to the screw but i know the bumper has to be taken off first so i'm not sure how to get to it. it's the only thing holding me back from removing the bumper. anyone have a suggestion?
theres a screw that you have to undo but its hard to unscrew it. You have to get to it by putting your hand under the fender, after you get that screw off you should be able to lift up the headlighs enough to undo the 2 clips hoping hte bumper underneath the headlights
Yep you remove the screw behind each of the bumper lights, if you have a lower grille installed then just see if you can move it out of the way just enough to get a screwdriver in there.
Remove the front upper grille if you need more space to do this so you can get an extra hand in there
Remove a screw out of each wheel well where the fender meets the bumper, then remove two 12mm bolts out of the left and right sides where you pulled the bumper lights and bumper will come off......
There is 5 bolts for each headlight
