chucked up idle
Eh yo, eh yo!
My nine-four, four door, accord is messing up!
So anyway here is the situation, I have been recently experiencing some difficulties in determining why my idle is jumping up and down, usually about 500 RPM, it does it randomly but usually after I give the car some gas, I was told to check my vac lines and also told it may be idle control
Does anyone have an educated guess on what might cause this problem?

So did you check your vacuum lines?
Vacuum leak can cause your idle to act that way. Make sure yours doesn't leak.
Idle control valve (IACV, search for it) may need cleaning.
Then after you've ruled that stuff out, you can adjust your base idle speed. Basically, you unplug the IACV, & set an artificially low idle speed. When you plug the IACV back in, the idle goes back where it belongs.

pull you iac (idle air control) valve and clean it also clean your throttle body...carb cleaner and toothbrush if that doesnt solve your problem take a small propane torch, tape off the air holes on the tip. DONT light it obviously. start your car and start tracing hoses with propane. when you come across a vacuum leak with the propane the idle will fluxuate TAKE YOUR TIME if you run across a leak too fast it wont work. good luck
