Where's the fuse box?
on the passenger side of the car, look at where the dashboard meets the front door. There's a fuse box on the side of the dash.
Yank the "radio" fuse. This ties into the ECU which triggers the light. Pull it and leave it out for 5 minutes.
Put it back in, start your car and let it idle for 4 mintues. Drive normally.
After 3 starts, your CEL will return ... but until then, your light should remain off.
I had a CEL and inspection ... I passed doing this. :hs:

And also lose 3MPG. Between that and the environmental damage you're inflicting (far from a liberal, but they have them for a reason) it's worth it to spend a couple hundred on a new OEM cat.
