Default exhaust rattle.

My 97 accord has bad rattle around 1800 rpm. Where on this gen of honda does this usualy come from? has non vtec 2.2

Mine did the exact same thing (96 Accord). Like he said its most likely the heat shield.

What part of the exaust? in engine bay or down stream somewhere.

What I mean is, there is a heat shield that runs down quite a distance. And how do you fix it?

your heat shield is located under the car on the cat and it protects grass from catching on fire when you park you car in high grass

i got mine removed years ago. the mechanics said that it is a very common problem for "our" generation accords. they also said that there was no reason to ever have it on the car in the first place.

...but in retrospect, thats prolly why that field caught.

actually that never happened, just pull the sheild off
