Default Whats Going On.

If anyone has an f22b engine that seems to knock upon start up, then deminishes quite a bit after 10-15 min. please write reply as to what it is. loud at low rpm, quite at high. Sounds like its near the top but untrained ear doesnt help. Like a little diesel motor in the morning.

Ill do that, thank you. Do you think one of these sensors is causing detonation? Because it sounds mechanical. I will check them out regardless. peace out.

every f22b engine i've ever seen has made this noise after about 90k... its normal. a valve clearance adjustment usually helps it, but probably wont completely get rid of it. also consider using synthetic motor oil.. that seemed to help a bit.

It drives me nuts though! I have had tune up kit put in, Timing belt(s) kit put in, and had valves adjusted. Mechanic said they were barely out of adjustment. Fuel cleaner, oil adatives, but to no avail. Is it the cam bearings? rocker pivots?

i was also thinking it could be the rocker pivots... since they make this noise on alot of cars, not just accords.

Thanks for the input. Can I take off rocker cover and inspect pivots, cam bearings? If so how can I do this?
