I don't know what to tell you scooter, all you can really do is check the continuity on the lines to make sure there are no breaks. If there are, fix em'.

well you can always get the honda s2k antenna. my friend with a celica gts had a long ugly antenna and he bought the s2k one and it fit perfectly, not sure what he did to install it. cost him 20 bucks

Isn't their a plug for the rear window antenna either in the driver side rear C pillar or under the rear headliner?

You can simply unplug the rear antenna if need be...
