The 240SX came with, what many call, a noisy truck motor. Although, they have a cast iron block that can handle trmendous amount of boost without so much as an afterthought.

The 240SX came with the KA24DE which was DOHC, at least the S14 did. I believe the S13 came with the KA24E which was SOHC. I've never heard of a VVT head swap on the SR motors. The SR20 was an all aluminum block, couldn't take quite as much abuse.

If you totaled an Accord, you're not ready for RWD.
