Default my accord is having a midlife breakdown!

i have found out that my alternator casing is cracked and i need a new water pump...now today i realized that around 4 grand in every gear the car starts to jerk...feels like when you first learn stick but at 4000 rpm. my friend says it could be my vtec solenloid. it just happened after a 110 mile drive back to school. i didnt feel that during the whole ride but then all of a sudden it started to jerk.

108,000 miles about oil should be changed but i got sick.

anybody know what is going on? (with the 4 grand jerk)

thanks

andrew

is your tranny slipping? When it hits 4 "grand " does it rev a bit higher before it catches gear?

i drive stick 5th gen. the problem went away until earlier today. the only time it happened was when i left foot braked into a sharp turn and then hit the gas full throttle. it could be the clutch i suppose i replaced it last year though. i plan on getting a stage 3 centerforce when i can afford it. i dont think it is the clutch just because i floored it in 5th at 30 mph. no slippage. i was playing with the fuel filter a few weeks ago. it doesn't happen all the time... today as i said, it was only after i hit the brakes wicked hard....caliper problem?

thanks,
andrew

Why where you left foot braking into a hard turn? its a honda that seems stock and with needing a new water pump and alt, you probablt shouldn't be beating the hell out of your car.

I am seeing a correlation here, it may be a timing problem. i am not sure how you found out your water pump was bad, but if it caused your timing belt to slip a tooth that would cause you to have a 4k jump when driving hard.

How did your alternator casing crack Why do you think you need a new WP This all strikes me as very weird.

i dont know how the casing cracked...i do not need a new water pump or timing belt but i have been told that at around 100,000 miles i should replace the water pump. while doing that it would be stupid not to do the timing belt.
and left foot braking isnt' beating the crap out of the car(i didn't think it was anyway)

now the day i first heard the strange sound of a craked alternator casing...that 50 mile drive i was beating the crap out of my car. i also figured that if you beat all the crap out of the car there will be nothing left but good stuff. that was a joke btw.

anyway whoever said i shouldnt be beating the crap out of my car right now is 100% correct. i just felt like cutting loose after class.
im a dumbass sometimes

and it is stock exept for the usual i/h/p/s/e
