anything is possible with enough money ... but is it worth it? no.

you'd need a new tranny (6 speed not available till January), engine, headers, hand fabricated cat and exhaust, homemade engine mounts, and ecu. it'd be cheaper buying a new accord.

I don't think there's much more involved than swapping ECU's with the '03 Accord V6 and your V6 Accord, then finding a 6-speed manual from the CL or '03 Accord to fit your car.

But I could wrong. In any event, it'd be costly.

You could likely swap the tranny from the CL6speed. Finding one in the junkyard should be nearly impossiable for you so the dealer will likely be the only option.

A cheaper alternative but not buy much would be to install the 5speed auto from a standard TL/CL into your car if you want to shift gears. Just make sure it's had the warranty issues fixed first. You should be able to find one remanufactored with ease.

What a waste, why not just buy the 03 6 speed.

It's not really a waste.
Assuming you are mechanically inclined and can do the intial swap itself on your own. And Assuming you own your car outright and have quite a few mods done to it. The parts to do the tranny swap may only set you back ~3000grand (new). Well it may be difficult for someone to sell their car and re-coupe enough money to purchase a TL or CL for less then that. In addition to modding the car back up.

In additon, a new 6 speed CL is a cool car but you wouldn't give it a second look. You'd likely ask all kinds of questions if you saw a Gen6 6speed. Just a thought :naughty:

well.. i have some mods on the car.. aem cai... dual n1 exhausts.. but its not just the mods.. i prefer the design of the '98 accord over the new '03.. but thats just me... so rather than selling this one.. and buying a whole new car.. i'll just swap engines w/ manual transmission... mods and kits on an automatic car?? meh.... besides.. manual is more fun... any estimates on how much a new '03 engine'll cost (with new tranny)??
