Recently, My 1994 honda accord all of a sudden pops up a "Check Engine" light.. I reseted it, and it goes away for awhile and then comes back on.. When I first start the car, no light, but when I drive it about 1/4 to 1/2 miles it all of a sudden pops up.. I pull over, killed the engine and reignite the car, and the light dissappear until the next morning when I go to work and restart the car, the same thing happened again.. I am suspecting it's my O2 sensor, or the EGR Valve.. Any idea what might be causing this.. This car is costing me a fortune.. Had the AC worked on.. that cost me like 600 bucks.. The tires went bad on me, cost 500 to get it replaced, and as for the ABS, I haven't even started to calculate how much that's going to cost me.. Please help.. I am going broke..

 

it's amazing that simple reseting the light doesn't fix the problem.

 

Well, I pull the code for my 1994 Accord EX, and it said I had an error 12 code which is a malfunction of the EGR Valve, can any one confirm that?.. Also, an Error code 18 for the ABS is the accumulator, can anyone confirm if i am correct?

 

Just go to autozone or similiar dude, like every single other check engine light thread says.

 

Update: Changed the EGR Valve, and the problem went away...

 

do any one know much about the check enginge light on 96 v6 accord like whats going on aobut it
