Default 94 Accord gasline leak

Hey Guys, (and girls)

94 Honda Accord
4 door, stick shift, AC
non vtec

I have a gas leak from a line near the back driver side wheel of my 'cord, i dont know if i need to find a pre bent line with ends already on it, or if i can use a non pre bent peice from an auto parts store. On the side of the gas tank there is a rubber line connected to a steel line that goes to a connector bolted to the frame, the leak is after this connector. Also i am not sure where or how the line connects on the front of the car.. If there is a link on this, please reply w/ URL. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Thanx,
BetterBob

u can go to www.hondaautoparts.com and look the part up, they have diagrams that show the parts that r broken down.

is the leak between the tank and the connector, or in the steel line that runs to the front of the car?

My 94 had a leak in the steel line that runs to the front of the car, there is a kit an most auto parts stores to repair the end section of a fuel line, already has the special fitting on one end and a compression fitting for the other. I only recomend this as a temporary fix though, as im sure you'll develop a leak somewhere else in the line eventually (like me). I am going to replace the whole line with rubber hose because the steel line is like $100 and I dont have that kinda money.

It was in the steel line after the connector, but i decied to go and get some brake line and 2 compression connectors to patch it today. What kind of hose do you plan to use to replace it, and how are you going to connect it to boltt ends? sounds like a good fix to me, would like to know how for future reference

Thanx

did you check that the fuel filter is tight ? as if you replaced it recently it might be tight enough or defective.
