They're slip on. There are two phillips screws holding the rotors to the hub, remove those and slip em' off.

USE AN IMPACT SCREWDRIVER. DO NOT USE A PHILIPS HEAD AS YOU WILL RIP THE HEAD OFF.

DO NOT USE ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES AN IMPACT SCREWDRIVER.
DO NOT
DO NOT
DO NOT
DO NOT

Sorry I have to make it clear. Since I clearly told my friend that when he went to change his rotors. Guess what happend? He snapped the head of the bolt and now has to figure out how to get it off.

Don't you have to buy replacement screws as well or is that just if you don't use an impact screwdriver and break em?

Jut leave the screws off, your wheels will hold the rotors on.

You could reuse the screws. What I usually do once they are off is I just slightly tighten them by hand and then when I put the tire on it holds it in place.

Just bringin this back up so I don't have to make a new post, but... I'm working on doing this for myself, and I can't get the damn screws out. I don't htink I stripped them too bad yet so I should be able to do it with the right tools, but... Dumb question, but what do you mean by impact screwdriver? I found a few "Impact screwdrivers" on google, for real cheap, but is this what you mean?

http://www.brandsonsale.com/impact-screwdriver.html

Will that do the trick? To me it doesn't really look much different from a normal screwdriver so I don't really understand, to be honest.

I also have a drill with a screwdriver bit, but that seems like it'd probly just strip it worse.

Thanks in advance for answering my n00by question

Yes, that is what you are suppose to use! It may look like a regular screwdriver from the picture but it is not. You make sure the impact screwdriver is set for counter-clockwise rotation and then you use a hammer or similar and hit the end of the screwdriver with it, hence an impact screwdriver. The one shot impact nudges the screw loose.

If you use a regular screwdriver you don't have enough "hand torque" to loosen the screw, so what happens as you try to use your hand, you end up stripping the thread on the screw as it is the weakest point.

Got it!

Sweet deal, that's what I was thinking it may have been. Thanks for the help. I'm gonna go try to pick one up right now then give it a "whack" :P
