I have a 1989 honda accord and when I try to put it into gear it will not go. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and what I need to fix it

 

I just had the same problem with my 05 Coupe... I took it to a dealer (luckily under warranty) and they said that some of the teeth on the gear were missing. Another reason could be your synchronizers... I assume that you are talking about manual transmission, right?
