How is everyone breaking their wheel studs.

Are you guys tightening the wheel nuts with an impact wrench?

Mine was from the previous owner. No anti-seize+PepBoys Impact Wrench=Broken wheel stud for me.

I suspect it was torqued on way too tight. I know some people use anti-seize in case of rust build up during the winter, but that should not cause the stud to break when using an impact wrench.

Wherever the previous owner took it to get it serviced, the wheel nut was torqued on way too high. Not uncommon at all.
