i want to do something like that to my 98 accord coupe...
whats the best way?
i heard about a spray or using tint film... has anybody done this?
suggestions?
thank you
well i've seen smoked lenses, but thats completely blacked out. yea, you can keep them on... until a cop gets up behind you. all brake lights have to be red and be able to reflect. i dont even think tinting them is legal.
I just did that to my Accord. I thinned out black paint until it was transparent and actually painted the lenses. It took about 8 hours for me, but there are a lot of bodyshops here (Seattle) that are starting to do this. It should cost around $250. I'll post pictures when I find my camera.
instead of blackouts (which is just a black trans spray), smoke is a different shade. It's more of a light grey that tones down the original red tint of the tails ... but doesn't completely shade it in black .. more of a hazy grey with the red base still coming though
