I have to wait 2 weeks for my smoke paint cuz they are out of stock!!! That sucks!

 

Im sure that as long as you can see the bulbs light up its not illegal. Some cars come with tails that are really dark.

 

I was pretty happy with the all black look. It looked pretty slick in the early evening, when you could see the back, appearing all black, but then the turn signal or brake light would show through, clear as day. I don't think fully blacked out taillights would look good on a car that wasn't black,t hough. Maaaybe silver, if you also had the whole dark tint thing going on, but that's about it.

 

I just tinted the pink part of my rear tails on my 99 sedan. its not too dark and not too light. looks similar in color to the smoked out tails on the elements, jettas, saabs, and all those other cars that come stock with smoked turn signals. I've never had a problem because of them, you can still see the amber turn signal no prob.

 

I think mine will look sick when it gets done. I have a silver coupe

 

do you have blackhousing headlights? if not get a set, or DIY and it will look slick. my car is a silver sedan, I've got dark tint, smoked tails, blackhousings, and black gunmetal rims with a polished lip, and it looks real slick. post up pics when you do it.
