Default Wheel stud replacement

Ok, I searced around on here and E-H.com yesterday and thought I had this all figured out. Knew what I should have to spend and everything. I take it to the shop whom I was quoted approx. $30 to do it today. They take my car back, they suddenly want $100 to do a seemingly easy job. They're telling me they have to remove the ENTIRE drivers side suspension just to remove hub and knuckle off of the driveshaft and then remove the stud. Am I crazy or is this wayy too much work and money for this? Seems like everyone case I've seen this was a very easy fix at a shop, no??

btw, 98 Accord coupe 4cyl.
