Default Headlight Question

Im looking for an easy and very effective way to clean up a pair of headlight lenses. I know I can go with 1000 and 2000 grit paper and follow up with compound, but I was hoping to find something faster, as I dont have too much free time. The lenses have pits and hazing typical of an older vehicle and I want to clean them up for both better appearance and performance (light output).

Any recomendations?

I was having trouble seeing at night and realized the headlight lenses (not a honda) were very foggy. I didn't know about Mothers (if it works as stated). I wasted time trying to clean them up with compound, etc and it wasn't much better. Finally bit the bullet and bought 2 new headlight assemblies. Looks great and I can see again! Found them on ebay for about 35 a piece, I think.
