aight, this is jimmy, the owner of the wide accord..
iyes, i did win nopi, yes i was in the wrong class, yes i did enter in wild, yes, yes,. yes,........
you like his paint better? ok,.. opinion,.. i give ya that.. but look at mine in person, i have 3 full pearls over my basecoat, red, orange, and gold, very very pretty paint when you look at it in the sun,.. then make your decision on whos paint is better....
headlight conversion no costing over $700??? dude, $600 for the headlights, over a grand for the hid's and $1200 for the conversion itself.. add it up.....
guggan, not flamming you,.. its a very clean accord,....i like the work you put into it
and no,.. the car is full fiberglass,... not very much "bondo" as you call it... i accually had a very good shop do my work!!!!!
as far as having to have an h22? i USE the h22,... i enjoy racing it evey time i drive it,.. my friends will vouch for me, they ask me why i rag a beautiful car out like i do,... because its a car,.. its ment to have fun in!!!
why is my interior ugly? because its alllllllll fiberglassed? because its real leather?? because it flowes right along with the outside?

im sorry you guys dont "feel" my car,.. i know i have worked hard on it, i have put alot of time into it,.. and i have also won alot of awards with it....
the point of nopi, like was said before, is not to get a trophie,... i was not expecting it... i just went to have fun, and get mag shots!!!!

so,... keep tellin me my cars is not all that.... i know it is,.. and its MY car, MY style, MINE,.. i dont care what yall think about it!!!

That third accord looks like ass. the first place accord looks very expensive and flashy, but guggan's accord looks like class.

jimmy, nice work. you deserve #1 (although i question the matching of parts, it's very nice of a job quality, which matters just as much).

gug, you shoulda won something. probably at least 2nd or 3rd.

i shoulda entered. my car looks better than that POS that won 3rd but still not as good as gug's.

god damn this super-flame war...

(a) my beef wasn't with anybody who won anything in the show but that in MY class (94-97 Mild/Conservative Accord Coupes) that there were *6* f*ckin trophies given away and i KNOW for a fact that my car was top 6 among maybe 10-12 total cars in that class. I don't know why people are posting pics of 6th gen accords because they weren't even in my class.

(b) jimmy, your accord was off the hook. i saw you drivin away in it so i didn't get a good look, but sh*t was nice.

(c) bumnah's point of asking who did your work was to say that this car (minus wrapping the dash + doors and actually spraying the paint) was 100% me + my friends. I'm no professional, but I also believe in taking pride in your own work, not just throwing money at a shop to do everything for you.

The whole show scene is a loss because it all comes down to who puts the most money in their ride--and in the end it's all pointless bcs the car becomes old and worthless. Point being, I never did shows before and now i realize why... because what matters most is the respect of your peers, not how a judge can spend 30 seconds looking at your car and know all the details of it. And i'm not selling my car because of this, I've been trying to sell it for a while. This honda/acura scene has become so unrespectable that I don't want a part in it anymore. There are just too many people giving *us* a bad name.

done.

If you noticed, they didn't even make people enter a certain class. Conservative is listed as no body-kits etc. A close friend (congrats) won first for his 2001 Celica GT-S in conservative... but he has a full import body kit, wing, CF hood and CF front fenders, 18" Giovannis, Corbeau seats w/custom leather and full CF interior kit, Tein Coilovers and more.
Conservative??? NO!
Those slacker judges barely knew anything about cars. I even tried to talk to one about a custom part and he had a puzzled look on his face and said... that's neat.

!?!?!!?

honestly its how they grouped the cars
i'm sorry that you didnt win since the class u were in was a shoe in to place high. the first (and only show) i went to the same thing happened to me i had a slightly modified car and there was one 2 others in my group so they move all 3 of us into heavy modified and non of us placed instead of just judging the 3 cars

Okay, clarification and apology time. I happen to think Jimmy's car is hot, I just prefer Gugggan's interior over the super high gloss. That's all I wanted to say. I would drive Jimmy's car in a second if I had the money to buy it (not that he should sell it anytime soon). And my mods are doing the best they can on a college student's budget.

No serious offense meant. Peace, then?
