god damn this super-flame war...
(a) my beef wasn't with anybody who won anything in the show but that in MY class (94-97 Mild/Conservative Accord Coupes) that there were *6* f*ckin trophies given away and i KNOW for a fact that my car was top 6 among maybe 10-12 total cars in that class. I don't know why people are posting pics of 6th gen accords because they weren't even in my class.
(b) jimmy, your accord was off the hook. i saw you drivin away in it so i didn't get a good look, but sh*t was nice.
(c) bumnah's point of asking who did your work was to say that this car (minus wrapping the dash + doors and actually spraying the paint) was 100% me + my friends. I'm no professional, but I also believe in taking pride in your own work, not just throwing money at a shop to do everything for you.
The whole show scene is a loss because it all comes down to who puts the most money in their ride--and in the end it's all pointless bcs the car becomes old and worthless. Point being, I never did shows before and now i realize why... because what matters most is the respect of your peers, not how a judge can spend 30 seconds looking at your car and know all the details of it. And i'm not selling my car because of this, I've been trying to sell it for a while. This honda/acura scene has become so unrespectable that I don't want a part in it anymore. There are just too many people giving *us* a bad name.
done.
