what could be the causes of a misfiring cylinder? what ways can i fix it??

 

search. there are tons of causes, ranging from a clogged air filter to a bent valve.

 

or. spark plug cable not plugged in

 

what kinda symptoms are you getting?? is it just misfiring... i'm having a similar problem where my car kinda sputters then misfires while i'm driving.

 

well my car used to sputter when first accelerating but i had the distributor changed now when i am stopped at a light or my car is just parked in my driveway the idle is real low and i feel the car shaking and honda told me that the engine was misfiring but didnt tell me why.

 

Do you have a Check Engine Light?

 

i had a check engine light because of my speed sensor but i changed it and now no check engine light. i do have my sports light that is lit up only when it D4 and no other gears. it is solid not blinking though any thoughts.

Maybe when they replaced the distributor, they got the ignition timing wrong?

 

how would i be able to check the timing...will the timing cause the engine to misfire or is that just for the low idle???
