They charged $345 for the Timing and ballancer belt to be changed, which I dident think was bad.

I didn't think '98 & '02 were that different. They're both driven off the crankshaft pulley, so they both have to come off to remove that pulley & the timing covers.

Not my 1998. I think that started with 7th-gen (2003).

Yep, my 98 has separate belts. I just checked. I can't believe for all the thousands of times I've worked under the hood my car and I never noticed the other belt. :wtf: Here let me just slap myself upside the head. :slap:
