Buying An 86' LXi?
I'm not sure the model type is LXi, but it's the hatch style, and its a fairly clean white, and it only has 80,000 miles (VERY light rust on the left rear).
I might getit for aorund $1500 (hopefully less) and was trying to decide what to do with it.
Does anyone know of any easy yet powerful swaps i can switch in, like anything below a B16/18/K20? Also I figure the tranny would need swapping and etc, does anyone know of mounts for a swap like this either?
I've searched a bit but cant seem to find much on this SICKLY Old School Style Honda Hatch.
Also if there's like sites or clubs that deal with that generation (preferrably th hatch) please let me know!

The LXi is the fuel injected high-end model. Most where automatic, but manuals do pop up once in a while.
The only direct bolt-in is the gold top B20A from Japanese market 86-89 Accords and 83ish-87 Preludes. It is rare, but importers can usually get one on special request.
The only other option is HASport's B-series mount kit. That is the most expensive bolt-in B-series swap possible and requires new mounts, axles, wiring, and shift linkage.
86-89 Accords are best left as beaters/daily drivers.

I know i already got an answer but what about the B18B 94-95 (LS) or will the B20 block AND head actually fit under the hood? Or would i still have to use the CR-Vtec setup for civics, due to its height? And how difficult would the tranny conversion be?
Edit: And i have verified this IS the LXi Manual Hatch with 80,000 Original Miles, all original everything, with the exception of an obvious clutch. Would this engine be worth building up, i.e. is there any after market backing to the LXi engine? And/or do you know of any outrageous 3rd gen accord engine setups? (not swaps)

Man, I really miss my '87 Accord hatch. No, not really.
