96 accord ex shakes
Hi guys,
I have no clue if its the brakes, the drums, the calipers or what, but when i am going about 40mph and I break my car shakes from side to side, I would like to know what do you guys think could be causing this so I can buy parts and get working on this.
Thanks.

it doesnt matter if your tires are balanced or not, if you got warped rotors you will get vibrations through the steering wheel at higher speeds. Definitely get new rotors, dont just turn them thats a waste of money and new ones cost about the same. Trust me I had the same problems and I know the steering wheel shimmy at highway speeds and under braking are annoying as hell.
thats exactly what happends, the steering wheel vibrates also, we got new tires and balanced and got an aligment last year. now when we stop at a fast speed you get a shaking like if the car is going to fall apart.

I always recommend honda geniune parts. try this website for good prices on geniune honda parts. hondapartsdeals.com they got what u need. It depends on your budget if you want to replace all four at once, I did. But you should be alright if you just change out the front ones. Changing out just the fronts should fix your vibration problems at high speeds and the vibration problem when your braking.
