eibach pro-kit
I went to install my eibach pro-kit today in my 2000 accord and its not a very big drop but,the directions in the box(which i didn't read until i threw the box away) stated that i should trim the bumpstops. I don't mind taking them back out to do so,but, does this really need to be done?? anyone else on here who's done this already??
The bump stops should be cut with that kit, else under hard cornering large bumps you could hit the OE bump stop.
I had mine trimmed when my prokits got installed, and if I recall the rear stop fits funner after that.

I haven't trimmed them yet. the back isn't a problem, its the front that i don't want to cut. the front bumpstop and boot are one piece. the bumpstop is on top and the boot on the bottom. I was told to cut the bottom half of the bumpstop and the boot off. reason being, The top section(bumpstop) has a smaller hole to fit tightly over the struts piston and holds it in place. I don't want to cut the boot off because the shock will be exposed water/dirt,ect. If i just left the lower section with the boot on,it would lay all the way at the bottom, exposing the piston above it. so,either way,its not going to work.
