Im planning on purchasing infinity reference 605cs components for my 94 accord lx from ebay because I can get it nice and cheap ($120 w/ shipping as opposed to $200 plus from retail). I was looking over crutchfields website and I noticed they send you instructions specific to your vehicle when installing speakers for free. I don't plan on buying from crutchfield because its $200+ but those instructions sound nice. Does anyone have these for a 5th gen accord that could email me a copy?

 

Crutchfield has a 30 day full return policy. This even includes shipping and there is no restocking fee. I have bought a head unit, 2 changers, etc from them and the tech support is great.

What you do is order a cheap set of speakers from them and get the instructions specific for your vehicle. you'll receive the package in 2 days. Get the instructions, photocopy them. Close the package, paste the return merchandise authorization, drop it off @ UPS and you're good to go.

That's a little ghetto way of doing it, but in this great country of ours, why not?

If you don't like that option, try www.autotoys.com. They have a DIY section and, after going about a little surfing, should find the directions for the speaker installation.

 

I bought a Infinity Kappa 60.5cs from crutchfield early this year and installed in my 01 Accord V6. They sent me a master sheet on how to install the speakers in my 2 front door. I was reading it and they didn't mention anything about good location for the tweeters. I installed mine right on the sail. I checked my Infinity Kappa box and same thing, no specific place to mount the tweeters.If you can, try to mount it on the sail or 7" away from the speaker.
