I love my 2006 Accord, but with the 17" wheels with Michelin tires it rides as if it is on steel wheels. Feel every pebble!! Unfortunately, Goodyear does not make the Assurance Comfortread tires in this size. They are fantastic from the standpoint of ride improvement. One response I received was to go from 215-50-v17 to 225-50-v17, but Goodyear doesn't make the Assurance series in that size either. For a "luxury" model, I am really disappointed in the ride, although all other specs meet or exceed expectations. If anyone has a 2006 Accord with 17" wheels and has improved ride significantly by changing out tires to another brand/series, please advise.

Steel wheels have a worse ride than aluminum alloy wheels?

You have to realize that the bigger the wheel and the lower the profile means that you will have a firmer ride. I dont think any tire would make that much difference. In a case like this you should of chose a lesser model with 16" wheels if ride quality was #1 on your list.
