I've seen it all from turbo f22, h22a swap, and turbo h22a. Has anyone built there motor straight up for NA. I mean all motor. Running high compression. I am still looking for other ideas. I want to get turbo, but I could get a H22A before turbo anyday. But what would it cost to rebuild for high compression and how much am I looking at. Want to be different. Any help out there??
well gude performance sells a power package that includes a cylinder head intake manifold throttle body, and cam it costs bout 1600
Crower sell performance connecting rods, excellent for nitrous
they cost 167 per rod for the steel billet, titanium rods are availible but I dont know the price
Arias sells pistons for high rpm or boost applications
now if you have an auto trans your only option is Level10 tran rebuilt kits and performance torque converter
converter is 500
and the rebuilt kit is 300

The key to the all motor build up is experience.
I've yet to find anyone doing any F-series work. The key to any good NA package is the compression and cam.
If your building an F23 (gen6) then I'm not even sure about the pistons but custom unints shouldn't run you too much more then standard forged pistons.
In addition you'll want to fully balance the bottom end of the block. This helps alot since RPM is the NA's friend you'll need to fully balance and even lighten the crank some to help. Billet rods likely will only help in the balancing department as the stock rods should take plenty of NA abuse no problem, but they may be harder to balance up w/ the the crank. But I don't see that as the issue either.
The kicker is the cam--no one makes a new cam for the F-series. All cams are just regrinds which will tend to suck in IMO. Crower offer hardfacing but its not recommended for a street engine.
I would be building a killer NA F-series this winter but the cam is a major issue for me. Not to mention finding anyone that knows how to port an F-series head is nearly inpossable as well.
Gude quick return my calls or e-mails so I figure I was asking too many questions that they knew I wouldn't like the answer too.
Good Luck and let us know if it turns out.

What would the hp difference be. My mechanic said he can get my whole engine port and polished like he did is 89 accord. Finding the other parts wouldn't be that much of a problem either, but I am also looking at long term. I know turbo is wonderful but they say it is a Bi%^% to keep up on. Does the same go the NA?? I know price difference the turbo might be should be more, but the way people are running today, i am going to have to get the turbo to stay in the game.
I'm currently working on an all-motor setup in my 1999 Accord, and have the Gude Head Package installed (when all was said and done, it cost me $2700 (installation included in price).
I have yet to do anything else that is major, however.

Sorry, they don't have blanks for billet F-series cams. If they did don't you think they would offer one since they machine them CNC anyway on an as needed basis.
Crower and all the rest only offer regrinds or hardfacing no billet cams.

they were more than happy to make me a billet cam, for the one time low price of $700, in addition to a 10-12 week wait while they designed it.
Any of them can make custom parts....the question is are you willing to pay for it?
