Default Engine Specs

ok now i have another problem can anyone tell me what type of engine and transmission original came with a 1990 honda accord ex i believe its an f22a but on the motor i currently have on the cylinder cover it says h22___ and i cant read the rest? dont h22a's come in preludes and if they do wouldnt a accord transmission break due to the stress of the engines v-tec mode i mean it does kick in at higher rpms right? i really need help because if the engines are different then i have to get another transmission even though i was going to get a 5-speed manual anyway

Cylinder Cover? Check the block.....Accords and Prelude tranny's and engines from that year range are interchangeable(Prelude 92-96)..First off make sure you have an H22 in your Accord because it is not the original motor..

ok i just looked and on the side of the block the is a sticker that says h22a and the rest is like sort of scratched off, and i see a serial number but its kind of rubbed off but the engine is not stolen...is their another way to actual find what type of engine it would be? and if it is a h22a what is my best transmission option (preferrable a 5-speed manual) because i want a manual instead of automatic and do you guys know how much it would cost for the conversion (transmission+install including refab inside)?

my engine almost looks like that but it has h22a on the side by the cam gears, and alternator but i think its an f22a... so can anyone tell me im an official noob but i can tell the difference and i definetly think its an f22a...or b? and if it is then i really have to rethink my whole car modification process and if it is can some one tell me a good place to get mods for a f22
