Default engine misfires on startup???

hello all...

hope you can help with this problem.

i have a 1996 Accord EX Vtec engine w/ 171K

recently got new plugs (ngk), wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, egr valve, egr port clean (dealer), and valve adjustment.

now, when i start my car... ,sometimes, it will start right up into a misfire.
this doesnt happen all the time, just randomly!

i dont drive it, i wait it out and it smooths itself out and goes away.

sometimes it misfires for awhile, and other times its very brief.

no cel to work with, but it has happened before and i drove it. and of course the cel comes on and blinks, but that was before i learned it was doing damage. the cel's b4 were just misfire in "such and such" cylinder and "random misfire".

also, the car does not start of the first try sometimes when it sits overnight or while im at work and come out.... this only happens when it sits, and only for that first time. starts fine throughout the rest of the day!

if the dealer did the work then i would take it back and tell them that after they did the tune up it had the misfire.
