Default Strange shifter problems

Has anyone encountered this problem before?
Basically, on my 2004 v6 Accord, the shifter will sometimes be stuck in drive. I come to a complete stop to park, and when I try to shift out of drive, it resists it. its not terribly hard to shift it, its just weird that recently it became harder to shift it out of drive. Its only hard when leaving drive and going to neutral, after that its easy to move it to park. (its auto by the way).

I checked the transmission fluid, and its right between the low and high marks. I'm not sure what could it be...its only got 25k miles on it and I don't drive like an idiot either (ie: crazy acceleration etc)

when you push on the brakes to put it into drive, do you hear a click comming from around the shifter? if not either the brake light switch is broken or the actuator that releases a lever beneath the shifter is broken. if they both work i'm out of ideas.

hope it works
