How to prove legality of engine?
ok I understand your question.
somehow you have to try to get some type of paper work like a bill of sale or order a duplicate title from the dmv website.
the problem is if your car endup in the hands of the police and they look at the vin number in the engine and compare it with the car is not going to match duh and they are going to give you so much problems even if everything is legal.
I have a friend who bought a civic with a different engine and even though everything was perfect and legal it took him months so he can get his car back when it was towed away. he end up selling the car.
but remember how often do you get pull over and the cop check the engine and compare the vin #s.

that shit happens here in cali every saturday night after cops shut down the races and even at the race track they check ur shit like ur smugglin drugs or some shit. they compare the vin on the engine with the vin on the car and run it through their database to look for something fishy. but unless the carfax says the engine belongs to a car that was stolen then u should be fine cus then there wont be anything about it in police records. if they dont have anything and ur engine passes smog then ur good to go. thats how it worked for me. did a f20b swap in my old accord and thats what i had to go through.
