Default 2003-04 Accord V6 Coupe vs 2004 TSX

These are the 2 vehicles I have it narrowed down to. Yes, I know they are both Hondas. They pretty much have almost the same options.

I will be buying an auto trans vehicle w/navi.

I do enjoy the sport shift in the TSX, it does have HIDs and I do think the TSX' gauge cluster looks nicer.

I'm still not sure if it's worth giving up the 40hp. h:

Lets keep looks out of this since that is subjective.

Thoughts?

Do you plan on any modifications?

How much do you value handling/chassis balance?

Just basic mods. Not going crazy like I have in the past. CAI, hondata reflash, sway bars & maybe header.

Well, bad handling is my main gripe w/my current daily driver so I value it a lot.

You can always add HIDs to the Accord and make it handle better. IMO the TSX automatic is a dog and totally saps the enjoyment out of it.

Yeah, if you plan on working on the suspension, you can make the Accord handle pretty well, and the extra power would be nice.

Personally I like the TSX's looks a lot, but like you said, that's subjective.

Give me the TSX with 240hp, 6speed and RWD and I'd be ALL OVER IT!

i would say if you get an automatic, to go with the V6. it's more speed and like some have suggested, for a few hundred bucks outside of the car, you can upgrade to the same if not better than TSX suspension. if you were to purchase a MT i would recommend the TSX. simply because of the "fun" factor.

hhmm...seems fine to me...

Dawg is the front nose plow of the Accord in the turns vs. the TSX.

My buddy just purchased an Accord V6 6-speed sedan, he liked the TSX better but couldn't swing the payments, I guess Acura doesn't usually deal them as low below MSRP as Honda does on the Accords. I find my buddy a fairly objective fellow as well if that counts for much.

The balance and feed back from the TSX puts a smile ear to ear on my face, I'll trade that for 40hp any day.

To say one is better without having driven them back to back is fool hardy though. Drive them both, you can't loose either way.

The TSX SS AT > the Accord with out SS.

As automatics go the SS found in the TSX is Acura's best attempt yet at such a thing. I wasn't a fan on the CL-TL but it's a hoot on the TSX.

Down shift when you need too, peg the rev limiter all day if you'd like, no more annoying nanny ECU up-shift when the twisties get fun.

I already said that's what I would buy.

Well after having a TSX for a couple hours yesterday & an Accord for a couple today it's no contest. While the Accord is a very nice econobox, it does not handle nor ride anything close to the TSX.

The only reasons to go Accord are price and HP.

I must say that I expected A LOT less wind noise with both cars. They are both too noisy IMO.
