I'll apologize sarcasm gets lost in the fonts...

My point being, don't ask who makes parts, parts for parts sake is kind of a nice but it's not adding value, unless quantity of parts not OEM are the value. Just because there is a part doesn't mean you need it, or should desire it.

What you should ask is, who makes the part to solve the circumstance I desire at hand.

If you want a car simply to modify, I'd look towards choices with a larger bench of inventory, who's gains will be greater in magnitude.

For example: todays selection of turbo enthuasiast cars generally have a larger accumulation of parts in general. And such items as wastegates, and other turbo upgrades will give you much larger HP gains then say a CAI for the same price.

And since we have defined $29K as not a lot of money to spend on a car the choices are pretty good in your favor, an EVO, STi, or maybe even a quality used Supra TT may show up for the same amount of cash. And $29k will also open up a good bit of the luxury market too, and some might already be FI cars with a great selection of parts...

You crack me up. I don't see admin under your name.

I can ask for a list of vendors if I desire. Don't like it? Skip the thread. Now please dont post anymore in this thread, thanks.

Google does an ok job in some cases for places that sell discount parts...

www.hondata.com offers an ECU reflash depending on year and ECU code.
http://www.hondata.com/tuning_the_tsx.html (a nice link) not sure where you'd find a Toda header easily...

www.ingalls.com has a fairly good rear camber kit, one of the few with toe adjustments as well.

Koni has a set of dampers out now, and both H&R and Eibach have spring kits at this point.

There are 2-3 makers of DOT approved SS brakelines at this point as well, Goodridge is one, my buddy has a set from Stillen I believe.

Stoptech has multi-piston caliper sets, but you'll need a set of rims to clear them. I know BBS has a set that will fit, it might be in the RK or RX line? I've even seen a set of Brembo's fitted from an Accord kit.

I'm quite partial to the www.Redlinetuning.com had hood strut kits available, the prop stick really gets in the way when you work under the hood, they're simply a brilliant fix for one of the cars few short comings IMO.

There are vendors for lots of TSX bits of kit, what bits in specific?

I'll stop razzing you on now...

i am just curious since we are on the subject of TSX, a car i plan to get in a distant future.

does modifying this car provide any gains as opposed to modifying an Accord. being how the TSX is an upper echlon car, does it already come with some pretty optimum performance? or would doing the I/H/E/ still apply to this scenario? i am of course speaking of a TSX well into the 50,000 mile area. i, personally, would not modify a car coming brand new from the lot or with less than 50,000 miles on it. give or take a few hundred/thousand miles.

Of course it does.

No, 200hp 166tq (2004)
Accord (2004) 240hp 212tq

or would doing the I/H/E/ still apply to this scenario?
Intake, header & Hondata tune really wakes the TSX up. Cat-back is pretty much a waste on them unless you want the sound.

i, personally, would not modify a car with less than 50,000 miles on it.
WTF?

Warranty. Even though I usually disagree with that guy I totally am with him on this. A shady dealership will try their hardest to screw you out of a warranty claim if you have significant modifications, especially a reflashed ECU.

So put the stock crap back on before you take it in.

That doesn't really work when you send your ECU to Hondata to get it reflashed and then they send it back.

Also, what if you bring your TSX in for routine service or what you think is a minor problem and they discover an intermittent engine code pertaining to a serious problem that doesn't cause the CEL to stay on? No warranty work for you.
