Default whirrling noise

I have a 1994 honda accord I had a bad whirrling or humming noise at the front passenger side. I changed the wheel bearing on the weekend. But the noise is still there, not as intense as before but it is there, I think it's coming from the rear now. My question is, could it be the rear bearing too or is it because after i changed the front bearing the front wheels have to be aligned or rear brakes? Any suggestions?

Sometimes the front hub goes bad as well. I also replaced the left front wheel bearing, but noise is still present. The rear wheel bearings are one complete bearing/hub assembly, its easier to replace. Jack the car up and spin the front wheel to feel any vibration going up the knuckle to confirm if the hub is bad.

Take off all the wheels and see if you can move the disc/hub assembly in and out. If it has any play at all, the bearing is bad.

I checked the hubs and there are no movements. I spun the wheels and they turn fine. I wonder if its the back brakes since I noticed they were thin or could it be that the tire got unbalanced. Is these things a possiblity? thanks for the advised.

How are your tires? Cheapo and high performance ones tend to make similiar noises when they get worn down. If not, try to describe the noise a bit better and when it happens.

Low brakes would make a 'clicking' or 'screeching' noise as they got worse. Unbalanced tires would result in vibration.

the noise seems to come from the rear left and it seems to start when i hit 30mph. it's a low humming noise, like hummm hummm hummm. if i go past 55mph it seems to stop, but between 30 and 50 mph is when I hear it the most, not loud just a low hummm hummm.

Could be a very very slightly unbalanced wheel or an alignment problem on that side. If it's on the rear it might not be enough to shake the car/steering wheel. That's about all I can think of. Since it only happens at 30, it's probably some sort of vibration hitting a frequency where it can be heard.

i did the 4 wheel alignment a month ago and they told me my front left bearing was worn I had it changed and the loud humming noise I had before is gone just a low humming noise now in the rear. Wondering if it could be the rear bearing starting to go.

I thought you said that you did the play/runout test that I told you?
