When you say it's $150 or so, I'm assuming that is finding it on the net somewhere and not from the dealer, right?
most of the time the problem is caused from a uncapped dimmer lead red/black stripe wire hits ground, but in your case you shorted it out on the fog light switch. if you pull the drivers side multiplexer out and appart you will see the burnt out transistor inside of the unit .just remember to unhook the battery before attempting it .
P.S. it's a dealer only part ..

Well I finally got a new Drivers' Multiplex Unit and it did the trick. Cost me about $115 and took 5 minutes of my time. I did crack open the old one, but I didn't see any burnt traces or transistors.
I also got an SCS Service Tool and fixed my SRS light. The wife is very happy and I just wanted to thank all you guys for your help and suggestions!

anytime thats the power of the internet! as for the SRS I wounld get the code first as on the 00-02 with the side airbags they have a extended warranty on codes 15-1,15-2,15-3 so if any of those come up they are fixed under warranty. also the SCS tool if it's the same as the other picture won't work for SRS codes only to reset the MES and SCS on pre 97 accords as 98+ doesn't have a SCS connector.

I know.. I think I may have a slight man-crush on the internet. The information is right at the tips of your fingers.
It was my fault that the SRS light went on. I pulled the fuse while fishing for the reason my dash lights went out. But I'll keep that in mind if I ever have that problem!
