I am thinking about lowering my 06 accord sedan. I want to put either a 225/40/18 or 215/40/17 without rubbing. What kind of a suspension setup should i use? I am thinking about an eibach pro with new shocks(not sure what kind). I have noticed a lot of people say the front will be higher than the rear with the eibach. Are there a set of springs with a comparable drop that doesnt do this? Thanks for the ideas.

In my experience, Eibach Prokits don't drop your car a whole lot. How much are you looking to spend for wheels and tires, and suspension?

Probably about $1700. I was looking at the tein basic coilovers but i really dont have a use for adjusting the ride height.

$1700 for suspension, or total with wheels and tires? Tein makes some great stuff.

I'd focus on just doing one and getting quality parts for the car and then using the rest towards saving up towards the other.

Do a quality suspension setup first. Something like H&R Sports on KYB GR2's would work for you nicely.

Or even better mate the H&R sports to Koni adjustables, or Bilsteins. I have H&R sports with Koni's and they are great. Decent drop, still livable, nice balance of handling and ride quality. If you are unsure on the amount of a drop, look into coilovers like Tein, Omni, etc.

As far as Eibach Prokit goes...it really probably won't lower the rear more, but due to the higher wheel arches in the front, you'll still have more wheel gap up front, but that doesn't mean it's higher in the front. Most cars have more wheel gap up front to allow for the movement of the front tires. When you decrease the amount of gap, then discrepancies in front and rear gap becomes more noticable.

And whether or not you rub will depend more on the wheel offset than anything else. Get too low of an offset...you'll be rubbing even with a stock suspension. If you want to guarantee no rubbing and can settle for 17" then get OEM wheels. The Honda/Acura gunmetal 5 spoke wheels are very sweet imo. Just be glad you have 5 lugs...we 4 luggers don't have such nice larger OEM wheel options.

Thanks for all the info. It seems as if the cost of h&r springs with konis is about the same as going with tein ss coilovers. Which would give a better ride quality?
